I like them both, but don't like Hydro's 1200 price tag around $5,100/2,500 Pounds.

I like the way that Rolex is taking Tudor - definitely giving it a little more of its own aesthetic.

The 1200 looks like it's got great depth, but I'm not sure on the hands of the Hydronaut II.

The price does seem pretty high for a Tudor as well.

Not sure I like them overall, but I love the use of black ceramic in the bracelet. Im thinking a entire bracelet and case done in black ceramic would be awesome and very durable.

Not bad, but reminds me of an Oris.

Hmmmmmmmm, there's elements I really like (the steel/ceramic bracelet), elements that I don't overly like (the hands and hour markers) and everything else is OK. It does remind me a bit of a Seiko for some reason.

I like the Hydro 1200. The ceramic in the bracelet looks great, the hands kind of remind me of the newer Omega Seamaster Pro models. The small details, like the red logo on the crown, and the bit of red around the helium escape valve kind of give it a uniqueness. A very sturdy looking watch. I love the large, applied markers, especially the one in the shape of the Tudor logo at 12 o'clock. Would have to see the watch in person - I don't even know if we have a Tudor AD in Vancouver - before I judge the price. I guess the 5 grand is in US funds, so it's likely more like 6 grand in Canada, even though both of our dollars are now getting close to par.
Cheers,
Carl

I dont know they kinda looke like toys with those freaky hands, and the ceramic and steel links are putting me off. 5K US is definately too much for a watch like that, I would rather getting a Zenith Classic.

Of cource, now that I have severely put them down it stands to reason that I will own one in six months and rave about it

Just like I ranted about the new Breitling Seawolf when it first came out! Then I saw one in person, and I couldn't live without it! The next week I owned one, and it was - and still is - my favourite Breitling model. However, it was too big and now has been traded for my 2007 Omega SMP. Funny how the loves in our lives come and go like that!
Cheers,
Carl

Yeah I know what you mean. I used to HATE Panerai, could not believe people spent 50 dollars on one let alone 10000. Then I saw one in person and well, not so much hate

Hi, I like them both but Tudor Hydro 1200 is far more dashing than Hydronaut II.
If i were in your place i would have bought Tudor Hydro 1200.
