I would contact an AD and advice them. They would probably want to try and confirm that you are the owner of the watch as you don't have paperwork. If you are the original purchaser then the AD should have a record of you as the buyer, if you bought used then they will likely want some evidence of the purchase. They may also want copies of police reports.

What they have to avoid is the possibility that anyone could get a serial number (say from an online photo) and report the watch.

Without wanting to give people ideas, I could buy a warranty book on eBay and then say the watch has been stolen.

I think some sort of receipt or email record of a transaction on a board like this would be needed.

Hi all, I have recently had my Breitling Chronomat black eye blue & Omega "quantum of solace" limited edition watches stolen from me in Zimbabwe, Africa. I have proof of purchase & warranty cards for both and would like to put them on this forum & any other credible sites to catch the people who stole them. What would I need to do next ??

You are welcome to post serial numbers here in case people search the web, but the best thing to do (other than the police and insurance of course) is to contact Breitling and Omega and get the serial numbers into their database in case the watch is ever sent for servicing.

Sorry for the loss and welcome to BreitlingSource.
