Well thats it, I give up. Just can't make up my mind, this is one dificult choice.

My AD offered me 10%off the Rolex, so its about 8100USD. Over on a certine watch trading forum I keep seeing the BP offered for about that.

On one hand, I have an IWC Big Inge which is somewhat similar to the BP and I dont have a Rolex od a metal bracelet watch for that matter. On the other hand the BI is the more valuable watch and likely to apreciate in value.

I have been craving both, but can't decide.

Clearly it's your decision Altair but after reading your thread I voted for the Rolex. I love both watches and would buy both in an instant, however as you stated, you already have the BI, so I would therefore firstly go for something you don't have (Rolex on steel) and then buy the BP later :D

Really tough decision, I can't see how you can possibly go wrong with either one! What a great position to be in

Good luck with the decision making process.

BP is an absolute classic in my opinion and i love the look much more than that of the SDDS(although thats a nice watch too)

im sure that you would love the BP, wish i could afford one!

I can't believe that I am about to say this, but..........

I voted Rolex :wowzers

For me, the BP is too similar to the BI and the Rolex will add a different element to your collection.

.

Next thing you will be in the market for a Panerai Roff

Anyway, I have heeded your advice. The BP will have to wait for another time.

Do you have a Rolex somewhere in your collection, Roff?

You made the right choice mate.

BP is awesome (I'm wearing one as I type this) but you already have the BI.

How the hell do you decide what to wear each day now.

That collection needs culling. :)

No Rolex, though this would be the one if I did. There are a few thant I like he aesthetics on, but I hate cyclops and at the moment I'm definitely on the lookout for 'different' looking watches so that rules most Rolex out.

I voted Rolex. You already have one IWC and the DeepSea is the best Rollie so far IMHO.

I've just read your other thread Altair (congrats BTW!) but I'd actually be backing your decision here!

I LOVE my BP, but I've sometimes pondered the same dilemma as yours, but in reverse - i.e. I own a BP and I'd like a BI and a SDDS, but the BI and BP are just way too similar to be a sensible joint purchase. The Rolex SDDS is by far and away the best Rolex EVER made IMHO, so I think it'd be a perfect complement to your BI.

Thanks all, chuffed to bits with the Rollie, great piece! Very happy with the purchase and really rounds out the collection nicely.

You know its strange but the watch wear much bigger than its 43MM size, more like 44-45MM. I suppose the added thickness and bezel presense add to the over all effect.

Driver, I know what you mean but i still like them both tremendousily and I have to say the BP is calling my name yet I still have no intention of selling the BI.

If you want to keep the BI, but own a BP as well.. perhaps keep saving toward one of the non standard models. Bartorelli for example.

Watchnet and rolexforums off the top of my head. Also Paneristi I think.

All watches can be had for much cheaper than before due to the economic situation.
