Does anyone know anything about, good or bad, authenticwatches.com? I'm thinking about getting a Breitling from them (they have great prices) and I don't know a thing about them. Seem to have good ratings. The catch is, because of their discounts or however they acquire the watches to sell at such discounts, the watches don't come with Breitling's warranty. They warrant the watch for three years themselves. I'm guessing I could send it to BUSA for any issues anyway, just expect to pay for any repairs. Anyone with any thoughts or info on this website?

They are on the trusted sellers list, but as far as prices go, there is an AD used by MANY members of this forum (myself included, twice) whose prices are comparable and come with all the goodness associated with a AD. Things like warranty coverage, for example. Jnelson3097 (i always goof up his numbers so that # is likely wrong) will provide contact info through PM if you are interested. :lingsrock:

There are a number of members with experience of authenticwatches, good and bad. Use the search function and you'll find them.

That said, BoneDoc has given you the best advice - use an AD who will give you comparable pricing with a factory warranty. He even go Justin's user ID right this time

The generic email address that my internet service provider gave me was jnelson3097. I don't how they assigned 3097 or who's idea that was. I wish there was a cool story beind it, but there isn't.

I've heard good things about them but if you can buy from an AD, you should.

I was given contact info for an AD in the US who offered 30% off MSRP on any Breitling in stock. Althought it would save me money I would have to declare it at a Canadian Border and pay hefty duties and taxes.

I went to my local AD and told the saleslady I had a store in the US that offered 30%, and to my surprise/delight she said she would match that on any in store item. The store was a fancy pants luxury watch dealer so I was suprised to get ANY discount. The piece of mind I get for dealing locally is really nice to have and worth a few more bucks should something go wrong in future.

So I guess the moral of the story is try and ask locally (if available) the worse they can say is no :poke:

I bought my PRO II bracelet from them and received it the next day. Only reason I bought it from them and not an AD was because the AD told me 4 weeks to get it in and I didn't really want to wait that long.

It was a really smooth transaction.

I bought 2 watches from them in the past, never had a problem and their service was very good.
However, the only reason I used them was because of the good exchange rate (UK vs. US) at the time. Now its better to use an AD.

AW.com only offer their own warranty, and of course, you dont get the manuf'rs warranty card in the paperwork.
