Interesting to see what the offers were that have been declined - it's a very rare piece, but I do get the feeling that the price is 'optimistic' - I'll check the price guide this evening. |

What do you say on this optimism? ![]() That has been posted before. I do not remember what the Professor said "Ancre" meant, but I do recall it has nothing to do with brand or anything remotely unique. |

I can't find anything remotely comparable for the Union Glashutte so the market will decide. It's a shame that we'll never know what the true selling price will be because this would be an interesting piece to define the market. This is a long way from my sweet spot, but somewhere like Antiquorum I could see this watch being upwards of $80,000 - close to $100K with premiums. The other one I did post before, the guy is a complete imbecile - either he doesn't know what he has or he thinks someone is going to spend that money without knowing what they are buying. It's a no name watch - ancre is a reference to the type of escapement. It's like someone saying that they have an extremely rare watch made by 'swan neck regulator'. |

Stunning piece. High price, I'm sure it's worth it though ![]() |
