Interesting to see what the offers were that have been declined - it's a very rare piece, but I do get the feeling that the price is 'optimistic' - I'll check the price guide this evening.

That has been posted before. I do not remember what the Professor said "Ancre" meant, but I do recall it has nothing to do with brand or anything remotely unique.

I can't find anything remotely comparable for the Union Glashutte so the market will decide. It's a shame that we'll never know what the true selling price will be because this would be an interesting piece to define the market.

This is a long way from my sweet spot, but somewhere like Antiquorum I could see this watch being upwards of $80,000 - close to $100K with premiums.

The other one I did post before, the guy is a complete imbecile - either he doesn't know what he has or he thinks someone is going to spend that money without knowing what they are buying. It's a no name watch - ancre is a reference to the type of escapement.

It's like someone saying that they have an extremely rare watch made by 'swan neck regulator'.

Stunning piece. High price, I'm sure it's worth it though
