Post subject:  Incoming Has Landed Sicura Auto Help with info please

Does anyone know anything about this watch,Its one of the few Auto Sicura I have seen I know about Sicura but whats the story behind the movement is it good bad average? please let me know what you think.

On the Rotor it says Ronda - Matic (so I take it its a Ronda Movement)

it also says Sicura SA
17 Jewels
seventeen

cal 1239-21
Unadjusted
Swiss

The watch is in mint condition with only the slightest signs of wear,I have been told its from the very early 70s but that may be wrong,Any info you can give would be gratefully received Thanks,I just want to know as much as poss about the watch.

OH and last but not least can we have an estimate of value as I don't want to think I paid to much for it.Cheers

Can't comment on this specific model, but you can pick up vintage Sicuras on eBay for anywhere from $50 - $150. This may be slightly higher as it's automatic, I just don't know.

Ronda movements are OK, tolerances aren't as tight as ETA / Valjoux and they are generally seen as a level down from them.

Thanks Roff it cost me in betwwen what you said in fact towards the lower end, But I am happy with it,Why would an auto be worth less than a hand wind I would have thought more because of the more desirable aspect,Or am I wrong?

It wouldn't.

I said in my reply that it might be slightly higher as it's an automatic.

Sorry Roff misread what you said,Must ap attention when reading , Oh well someone on another forum said max value is $50 which is really really low I will keep it and wear it occasionaly,I am going to change the strap but thats it its a nice little watch and will only go up in value as it becomes older.
