Antiquorum are holding a timepieces auction next month.

As always, some fantastic pieces in it but to me, the star of the show is the actual Heuer Monaco worn by Steve McQueen in the Le Mans film. Estimate is $10,000 - $20,000, the same they expect a pair of his sunglasses to sell for. :shock: I would expect it to go for a lot more.

Orlando Bloom's Navitimer has an estimate of only $1,000 - $2,000.

Antiquorum always get the best of the best, but their estimates are not exactly reliable.

They had Gandhi's pocket watch in their March sale with a reserve of $20,000 - $30,000.

They got a lot of grief over that estimate (the watch was a Zenith with an alarm) and by the time thr buyers premium is factored in the final selling price was..........















$2,096,000

Not the greatest with their estimates :!:
