for me i started to have an interest in watches when i saw the tag heuer aquaracer chrono.
it was thick and heavy, the calibre 5.
i rem the salesperson urging me to buy at that point of time, citing that tag heuer will decrease dealer disc.

i wanted a watch but didnt read up enough, so i just bought a rolex sub, a popular model.
but as time went by, i found it a pain to wear that sub, partly cos of the image that rolex portrays.

so i sold off the sub and bought the aqua terra chrono next.
i was happier with it but as time passed, the aqua terra lacks something.
so off it went.

then i did further research and i looked at breitling but couldn't decide which breitling to buy, till i saw the SA.
i went to a branch of 6 different AD over a span of 1 month to see what price they could offer and try on the SA.

i rem walking into the 6th AD to ask abt the SA.
they didnt have it in the store but offered to bring it down in a couple of mins.
i had difficulty deciding the dial color.
the AD told me i should i get black
We agreed on the price and he called his colleague to bring down the SA.

i have a 7 inch wrist n the SA fits fine.
black wears smaller than white dial.
the AD bought down 2 black dials (batons and arabics) and i tried both on

i chose batons cos i felt arabics make the dial look messier.
i was initially hesitant to buy the SA brand new cos SA II was launching but after reading a review of SA and SA II,
the choice is obvious- the SA.

i heard breitling was going to reduce their dealer disc and i felt it was time to buy it.

i felt the SA II bezel was messier than the SA.
SA II pro iii bracelet looked like rolex sub bracelet.

i have no complaints about my SA though i wished the lume could be better, could have single baton markers instead of double, could have deeper engraving on the pro ii bracelet clasp but other than that, i am quite happy.

i am a sucker for heavy and thick watches and intricate bracelet designs.
my SA has picked up hairlines on the bracelet and clasp but no dings yet.
i couldn't bear to remove the plastic film on the lugs and the sides of the case.
haha.

my SA is a keeper i guess.
i am looking at my next watch, the AP ROC 41mm or VC overseas chrono which i plan to make it a keeper too.
the price is so much more than SA and what holds me back is the cost of servicing AP or VC.
for the time being i am enjoying my SA.

I guess you won't regret on yr SA and it's definitely one hell of a watch;) But Bro you should remove the plastic film and learn to like the hairlines on yr watch as they give yr watch character and a witness of yr life journey. Send it for an overhaul years later when it's time and it will be back looking new. There are people who specifically want to keep the scratches! Anyway to my understanding if you leave the plastic film on, the heat can cause the plastic to kind of "melt" overtime since SG is hot and the plastic will start to stick to your watch like a leech and when you decide to tear it away, it might end up leaving marks on yr watch which will be hard to clean off.
