Loving it 46 crew. Two modern day classics. I really love the fat orange hand on the exp42. It just sets off that dial right!

Rolex are very good at marketing themselves. I heard they were easier to sell second-hand than other brands, and they seem to retain their value slightly better. I find them far too expensive for what they offer though, so not good value for money in the luxury world. I prefer Omega and Breitling for divers, and Zenith or JLC for dress watches, to name a few examples.

That's exactly why there are different makers to choose from. Some don't like one, some don't like the other.
I have as much fondness for my Rolex watches as my Breitling, Omega, Panerai, Glycine, or even my solitary Volmax and Oris watches. I get the most comments from my Glycine, TT Omega Speedmaster and TT blue sub. It's due to their colours, not the brands. Only my dad notices my Breitling's, as he owns a Colt chrono.

I didn't buy any of them to show off, and I find the endless drivel spouted by those who typify Rolex owners as wannabees is quite droll. I think those who buy department store watches are the ones you should turn your attention to. Fancy strapping on an oversized 'gold' plated piece of cheap junk to your wrist....

you should check out the YM2 as well. they just came out with a SS version. DD2 AND DJ2 also wears much larger than a 41mm. To be honest its really about lug to lug length before dial size.

yeah, i forgot about the "new" ss version ym2. nice watch but way to pricey for me, and imo for what it is...

everytime i get all geeked up about maybe wanting to commit to a dssd ill try it on and the bracelet looks so weak on my wrist it puts me off....

thats the biggest complaint about the DSSD. i like it too but IMO Rolex should have made the links thicker for it at the bottom of the clasp. and I agree that the YM2 is pricey. at that price you can hit AP territory. And Rolex is no AP

it is small. but i think it goes from 22 to 18. but because the watch is so top heavy it really makes the whole thing look unbalanced. personally i dont understand why rolex didnt just make new end links for this watch. I swear they just used the subc end links
