Thanks for the advice. But I'm still confused. I understand the barrel part and the escape wheel stopped by the pallet fork. Does the escape wheel move the pallet fork which gives energy to the hairspring? Cause I thought the hairspring moved back in forth which moves the pallet fork, and in that situation the escape wheel doens't give off any energy to the hairsrping... Sorry if this is supposedly a very simple concept...

The mainspring (through the running train) drives the escape wheel which causes the pallet fork to pivot and transfer energy into the hairspring. The opposite pallet on the pallet fork then stops the escape wheel by engaging with it and the stored energy in the hairspring causes the balance wheel to rotate in the opposite direction driving the pin into the pallet fork and pivoting it back to it's original position, etc.

The escape wheel moves one 'notch' each time the pallet fork pivots, driven by the mainspring.

Ok, thank you. Excuse my lack of expertise. Since the watch is not able to wind right now, i just play with the hairspring and see it move the pallet fork, that's why I was so focused on the fact that the hairspring was the sole reason for the pallet fork's movement rather than the mainspring.

Escapement regulates the way that the power is transferred from the mainspring, it doesn't provide any power (except to the pallet fork).
