Why not move this thread to Fakes section?

Invictas aren't fakes. They're shameless imitations, but they don't actually try to pass themselves off as a different brand.

Correct, which is why it's not in the fake section. However since Avers mentioned it as not being directly Breitling related, I've shifted it to the General forum instead. All good.

I guess to each their own. I have owned a few invites and currently own one now. It’s my everyday watch and works pretty good. I thought would never buy a watch that was a model that was a rip off of another watch maker. That to me is just catering down to those that can't afford the higher end watches. Many though can't afford high end watches and that’s ok. If you’re trying to pawn it off as some luxury watch though and trying to be all bling bling about it then that’s also a different story. My current invicta is a Subaqua reserve that wasn't cheap. It’s a huge watch I think 50mm.. I get so many people talking about it. Now I like a big watch. My last was a Super Avenger (will talk about that later) and that was big and heavy. I tend to beat up on my everyday watch. I don't think twice when I'm wearing it as I expect it to take some abuse. I know a lot of people that again aren't huge watch connoisseurs but again to each their own. I guess that's what makes us individuals. I can't comment on Invictas history only my personal experiences with them. I have owned 3. One I sold to a coworker. One I bought and didn't wear so returned it for my current one. First one had to be sent back to Invicta as it was running slow. They fixed it and came back fine. 3 other guys I work with have bought them also. They like the look of them and each has had no problems with them. Again these guys aren't big spending watch guys. This is probably the most they have ever spent on a watch so yes it’s an upgrade for them. It’s better to pay for what you can afford then sometimes over paying for something you can't.
So a few other watches I have owned were a Casio Gshock (who hasn't had one of these) Movado, Rolex, Super Avenger, Invicta and currently a Panerai. The Movado was way back when they first were poplar. My Dad had owned a Rolex for 30 years so my main goal on getting a good watch was a Rolex. When I did it was a Rolex oyster perpetual datejust two tone. It was a weekend watch and liked it. It seemed more and more though I wasn't wearing it often. As many of the newer watches were starting to come out the Rolex just seem dated especially for a young guy like. So had a buddy that had a Panerai which I never heard of before and peaked my interest. Keep the Panerai in mind that I wanted and shopped for awhile. Went into a jewelers one day and saw a Panerai I had never seen and it was love at first site! Ended up buying it. It’s the Pam 170 which isn't made anymore and I will always keep. So not long after that though I needed an everyday watch as my Panerai wasn't going to be it. I really like the Super Avenger and set my eyes on that. That when I first came here and got great advice and some references to AD's. Well ended up buying one from an AD and a great deal at that. Well after a month of regular use it Stopped working!!! I hadn't done anything harsh to the watch at all. Matter of face I was playing Wii video game. So I just thought it needed winding. Well the next few days it ran slower and slower to the point just stopped all together!! So sent it back to the jewelers and they sent back to B** to repair and got it back 8 weeks later!! Longer then I had the watch in my possession! It was fixed though!! Well flash forward almost a year later and the same thing happens again. It just keep running slow and slow. I went to Hawaii and was in the ocean not diving just around the water and the crystal inside had humidity in it! I double checked my crown and it was completely screwed down and couldn't figure again why the problems! I thought the watch was a tank but I guess not. So again sent back to B* to fix which they did. Glad it was under warranty and eventually sold it with 6 more months left on the warranty. I really like the Super Avenger but I wanted so or later move on to the Navitimer world anyway. So with any watch you can have a bad one! Not saying anything bad about B* as I will be looking for a Navitimer world next as my everyday watch. For me the invicta as an everyday watch is great and I beat it up and not worry about it. Funny my 4k Super Avenger was my everyday watch also! I don't purposely beat up my watch but don't treat it like a baby when I'm working either. This was just a background of what I have had and not just saying Invicta is all that! I like the one I have and it is what it is. Now the copies their making I don't choose to own but again that is for a watch person that doesn't really know watches. I like the fact many people don't know Panerai and its more exclusive to a watch enthusiast. I don't want to wear what everyone else is wearing! This again is just my opinion and personal experience.. I can’t wait till I’m able to get my Navitimer world in white!! Oh yeah I like watches and cars Men’s Toys!!
