I got ino collecting watches after my dad gave me an omega constellation 25 years ago which I still have and will never part with.

my taste has always been towards sport watches and although I have bit of money invested, I have never really lost too much when disposing of a watch.

whatever age I reach the basic type of watch that really interests me does not change.

I think I have a relatively low boredom theshold and change watches and move to different brands through time.

had a rolex phase, an omega phase, an IWC phase and so on. perhaps my breitling phase willl pass as well but of my present watchesI doubt if I willl ever sell the navi or my zenith rainbow.

I do agree with the comments on the new "younger" styling of breitling...who the heck "butchered" the skyracer with those awful coloured rubber bezels? I can see a silver faced skyracer on croco landing in my collection soon.

should have bought a bigger watch winder box....

trouble is that the watches I really lust after now are so expensive that I would need a morgage to buy one .......JLC, Hublot, AP ROO.....

I'm 16 and I have a wide range of tastes. What would typically fit me the best is a sportier watch, say something like a BP aqualung with a rubber strap. I love some sport watches, but my true passion is for more classic watches which seem to be costlier too :P I enjoy the designs and, of course, the horology of pieces such as Thomas Prescher's or leather strapped Breguets, but it's hard to wear those watches at my age (assuming cost wasnt a matter at all). My tastes are probably what many consider "older" even though I'm only 16.

my appreciation for the brand ulysse nardin has grown to the point where i now feel that i could have been happy with collecting this brand alone.....on the other hand, how much fun would that be?

btw, i'm 44.
