Oh brother this is a :brewing: thread if I ever saw one.

If I step back from immersion in watchaholism, my answer is pretty much every brand selling watches over a couple thousand bucks is over-rated.

As a serious reply, I personally can't stand Movado. BO-RING. And I will probably piss some folks off by saying that I think Kobold are WAY over priced. They perform just fine as far as I know, but they are so way over priced for me, that makes them overrated. Make sense? ......probably not........UUUghh I'm getting old...

Baume and Mercier, Raymond Weil, Movado for me. Even tho i don't particularly like Tag and don't own one, they have been investing in development in a way most other watch companies aren't.

I honestly have to say that most premium Swiss
and German watches are overrated -- and overpriced!
Having said that, I'll now expose my hypocracy by admitting that
in the last 30 years I've owned nine Rolexes, four Breitlings, one
Omega, one Fortis, and three IWCs...

I know...if I had any integrity I'd now have a Casio strapped to my wrist
instead of this ridiculously overpriced (but oh so beautiful!) IWC Big Pilot.
Oh well....

Steve
