In Athens, Greece? If so, what's the name of your AD?

I was at the Rolex dealer yesterday and the lady told me that there will be an 8% minimum price increase across the board on May 10th.

Just asked George about this and they haven't heard anything about this so I wouldn't believe what this lady says. They may have an increase soon, but nothing planned as of yet.

She showed me an email from the company (Ben Bridge) and it basically mentioned the 8% and the 10th. Thats the only info I got.

I did get confirmation from George that is happening on May 10, so RJ was right.

another Rolex question, off topic. Do all Rolex watches have the thick crystal that sits higher than the bezel? I see A LOT of watches that do not have a thick crystal and assumed they were fake.

How well do rolex's hold their value? I understand that Breitlings after purchased a year or so later are worth about half...but how about Rolex? Let's say you were to buy a $10,000 Rolex, after a few years what will its worth be? I guess we can use the deep sea dweller as the example. :D

Rolex in general hold their value quite well, in part because discounts are much harder to come by than with Breightling. I can't give you an exact figure on the DSSD, but in general 75% of msrp seems to be close. SS models depreciate much less than do gold or TT models, as well.

i think the model that you are referring to is the sea dweller its 39mm if im correct. and yes the crystal sits about 1.5mm above the bezel.

I keep going back to the Sub or Dweller. My fav is the Yachtmaster II but 20 odd grand GBP!! Anyway It seem a brand new Rolex sub anyway loses a few hunderd at sale from new then holds this price for years.... as I recently saw a Sub £4300 new "old stock" and the same watch series a couple of years old £3500
Now breitling seems to take a decent HIKE once purchased then gets to a limit and stays there... just my opinion but I feel its more than the rolex drop.
Mind you recently had a 98 Chronospace with orig receipt of purchase for £800 and I sold it 2 weeks ago for £800. So not bad eh?
The Nivitimers in my opinion seem to take a heavy hike? anyone agree? The chronomats keep reasonable money as you can get a used one for £1500 decent and wear it 10 years and most likely get your money back... I do think that a Rolex sub costing £3000 will hold its price almost indefinately as long as the docs and box etc are also retained.... opinions anyone?
