I think I will stay with the hand made Patek - thank you.

I will sure be envious of your Patek while I'm sleeping with my former model wife and her college roommate....

I am embarrassed that this guy is not only Australian, but lives in the same city as me.

I will be keeping an eye out for the Patek wearing, Mercedes driving (his friends of course!), LV bag carrying goon. I know that there aren't too many that match this description around these parts!

This sort of attitude does for Patek what blinged-out rappers have done for Rolex.

To each his own, but every time I see that particular model I think.... "how freakin boring". I would rather have a Nautilis over this entry level Patek dress watch and the Nautilis' are butt ugly. Besides its small enough to be a watch for my wife (and shes got small wrist).

Overrated and WAY over priced, IMO. My Navitimer 01 LE is a nicer watch than that one. No wonder you compare it to a Longines.

Oh and BTW, he's still an embarrassment to men and watch collectors everywhere. Doesn't even own a Breitling, but comes in here once every 6 months to piss off the membership. Funny how he only post the exact same pictures, like he bought it for his class reunion (as per him) drove the borrowed Merc to the reunion and then promptly returned the watch. Hmmmmm ..... :guns:

I don't really understand what's your problem with Archie. I searched and read his posts, and I think he is different, but that doesn't mean he is a bad person. He has a unique way to see things, but we can't judge him cause we don't know if he feel or think that way.
So what if he is ugly, fat, have an Honda or he buys and wears used clothes?
And what about hiding watches to her wife? I think it's better hiding some watches than cheating...
We don't know her, maybe that way she's more happy than most of the wives of others members here.
If I'm not wrong, many members insulted him by he's way of saying what he think. And he behaved like a gentleman (except once)
I think he's a very funny guy...
BTW I drive a Honda Civic, so what?

The only person here that would look down on you for driving a Honda Civic, is Archie.
