No smart guy, you aren't right, the title says non-ling because he left the Breitlings out of the pic, of which he owns a couple.

What watches I own is irrevelant to the conversation. If you go to Bucherer's website they write that the movement in the traveltec is 'the exclusive CFB 1901.1' To an unsuspecting customer like myself, that sounds like a Carl Bucherer movement, when in fact it isn't. That's slightly misleading in my opinion. Your love and loyalty for them is admirable but it's no longer a watch/watch company that I'm interested in.

how is that different than breitling describing the bentley gmt as:

It is powered by Calibre 47B, an exclusive dual timezone movement

It's not different; but we're not talking about Breitlings. A number of watch makers use the same misleading verbiage.

Yea, I've never owned a non in-house Breitling.

that's after I sold my Chronomatic-49, Bentley Motor T, and Skyland Avenger. My point is...I don't hate non in-house watches but I've come to appreciate in-house manufactures, so much so that I've decided if I am going to spend a lot of money on a watch it has to be an in-house movement.

Still trying to decide on a B01....I like the B01 Navi a lot especially with the display back but I want to wait for the Blackbird B01. I'm really hoping they leave a lot of it's characteristics unchanged... Big Date, faucet links etc. Since Breitling IS my favorite brand, a B01 is a necessity. I'll probably want both though.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one, Sergio. I would like to see a Blackbird B01, too.

What I'm afraid of is the prospect of a new design. I wouldn't like to see a B01 bezel on a Blackbird, even if it is brushed. Look what they did with the Galactic line. :x or the SO II for that matter.

PS If you answer this thread directly, that will be your 1000th message Sergio :cheer:

I agree with being afraid of a new design. I hope they don't change the bezel font to the B01 font. If they want to redesign the rider tabs I can live with that. They did a great job with the Navi B01, they only made some very minor changes to the size, the white gold wings etc. I hope they use similar restraint with the BB B01...or whatever the Calibre will be called.

Edit...ahhhh you're right. 1,000th post... that came quick!! I've stirred up quite a bit of trouble in the first 1,000, wonder what the next 1,000 will contain. :lingsrock:

I DONT THINK THEY ARE GOING TO PUT THE B01 IN BLACKBIRD, THEY MAY MAKE A VARIATION OF A B01 WITH A DBL DATE, BUT THE BLACKBIRD IS TOO SUCCESSFUL TO DO THAT TOO. IT MAY BE SIMILAR, LIKE THE CROSSWINDS SPECIAL TO THE BLACKBIRD, VERY SIMILAR.

I LIKE THE NEW B01 LIMITED EDITION, THE NON NAVI ONE. ITS PRETTY SWEET

I'm worried that they're going to make a brushed B01 with the compass bezel and the Blackbird sub-dial hands and leave the movement the same. I think that the big date is such a great characteristic of the Blackbird that they'd be crazy to not include it. Isn't the B01 movement supposed to be modular or something so they can add and delete characteristics without have to redesign the whole thing, or did I just make that up?

PS, what's with the caps dude?
