And once I was asked if my Super Avenger Black-steel was an Invicta.......I nearly puked. :nutkick:

Well I think its safe to say we are all watch Snobs ,and have ran Coogs off. I don't think we can say anything else bad about Invicta, Oh wait a minute we didn't say anything about them being on the home shopping network.

I didn't have much of an opinion on Invicta until I saw that blatant Submariner ripoff. I'm somewhat surprised they can even do that.

While we're on the Invitca stories, I have one. A delivery guy showed up at my work to drop of some freight. As I was signing the waybill, he points to my watch and says, "Hey, is that an Invicta?" In complete shock I replied, "Uh, no. It's absolutely NOT an Invicta; It's a Breitling." He says, "I've never heard of that before."

So I go on with a little elevator Breitling speech in hopes of teaching him the difference between a garbage watch and a real watch. I knew it was futile when I concluded my speech and he said, "I have a collection of about 7 Invictas at home. They're really nice watches, just like this Breitling brand you were talking about."

All I could do was bite my tongue and nod . . .

 Best. Story. Ever.

I've never paid any attention to Invicta in the past, but all those BLATANT rip-offs that Brian posted are hilarious! Being an Invicta "designer" must be no harder than picking up a few catalogues by other manufacturers!

I like cheap watches, nothing wrong with them.

But I had 2 Invictas and they were total crap. You know those Rolex Sub ripoffs... first one had leaky crystal and the crown unscrewed out of the stem on the second one... it was the second day of ownership.

If you're lucky you might get a good one. But the QC is similar as cheap Chinese fakes. Read: ZERO. And where do you think they build the "Swiss" Invictas and their "Swiss" ETAs... in Switzerland?

Can someone explain why do we have Invicta thread in Breitling Discussion section of the forum?

Thomasenlow1 was comparing another brand that copies Breitling, much like Invicta does....thus the topic "As bad as Invicta"

Why not move this thread to Fakes section?

Invictas aren't fakes. They're shameless imitations, but they don't actually try to pass themselves off as a different brand.
