Don't tell Driver8, but I'm with you on the BI over the BP - that piece is very well balanced.

I think we've already established a certain lack of judgement in you before Roff, so here's just another example!

No, in all seriousness Altair, the BI is a very VERY nice piece and while for me the BP just edged it, I think they are both great pieces and, as you say, sufficiently different to justify owning both some day! I know I will probably try to!

Many congratulations!

And here's another one for the choir of congrats - I'm very happy for you Altair. Congratulations!

Yes I can't say one is in any way better than the other, but quite different in application. The finish, movement, and general layout are almost identical. And as much as I love the elegance and case design of the BI, the BP has unrivaled history and is truely an icon. I also really like the crisp, bold Arabic numerals, that crown is very attractive as well.

I just have to get one eventually. But my next IWC is probably going to be the rose gold Portuguese Automatic, perfect dress watch for my tastes.

I'd agree Altair - they are just different. Both lovely IMHO, but both different. Have you thought about getting the bracelet for your BI? It looks great in the catalogue and when you have the option you may as well give it a go!

Magnificent watch, Altair. But if I keep looking at its
impressive dimensions, I might be a little disappointed
when my "tiny" (42.5mm) Ingenieur Auto arrives on Thursday
(not likely! ). Wear it in good health. :)

Hardly possible, the "regular" Inge is a great watch. Let's see some pics when it arrives.
