Let's hope it's in the pipeline. I'll brush the centre links myself if that happens.

If you guys haven't seen the Rolex Smurf in person, it is more of a purple blue, rather than blue. I imagine this is the same shade especially by the color of the GMT hand which appears more purple than blue. I was extremely disappointed with I saw the Smurf in person.

Still working on the non-black ceramic colors. I much prefer the blue and green of the older steel bezel models, and I can only think no coke or pepsi because they haven't decided on the shade of red. Need to see the new GMT, maybe with black the color will seem calmed down but the size of the numbers on the bezel still bother me. Of the ceramics, I still prefer the black sub.

Sorry guys, I am a big GMT IIc fan but the black and blue does NOT work for me at all. Would have preferred it to be entirely blue with a blue dial. Or a pepsi or coke bezel, that's a big miss in my opinion and frankly I am surprised that you all are into it. Now the new Yacht Master with blue ceramic bezel is HOT!

:yeahthat To all of the above

the platinum daytona is a let down for me. the colors just seem to clash. another member on TRF worked the pricing on this to be roughly 60k usd. thats alot of loot for this. I am still happy with the regular precious metal offerings that they had for daytonas.

The new GMT with black and blue bezel is hard for me to say if i like or dislike. i think that i need to see it in person before if can make a proper assessment. I am kind of curious why they didnt release a coke or pepsi. There use to be some chatter about Rolex not being able to place the two colors onto a ceramic bezel. this no longer seems to be the case. And one thing for sure,,,,,,there are a ton of purists that would have lined up to buy a ceramic coke or pepsi. hmmmm....interesting.

Then again, with this, they are going to make a killing because its bi-color. And in two years time... They are going to make a killing with a Pepsi... Because its a Pepsi. The other way around, no one would have bought the black n' blue .

Rolex is slowly turning into Apple...

I love that blue/black GMT, and not bad money either. (Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be saying Rolex are sensibly priced, while Breitling are crazily priced!)

And it's great to see the YM II now available in steel. Anyone have a price on that one?

(Oh and I agree with Fred that the Daytona is hideous).

My humble analysis says the reason they made the YM II in SS now is that it wasn't a hot seller to begin with at a crazy price.

But now that it's available in SS it might bring back the guys who aren't into the precious metals.

So far out of all the releases the SS YM and the ceramic Speedie are the only ones I truly like, even with Breitling's newest line up into consideration.

The two tone Yahtmaster 2 is 21,000.. I'm guessing around 12-13?

I am going to dissent here.....not of fan of the bi-color bezel. On paper it make sense and I don't hate it but first impression is a no.

I love the YM II! granted even in steel it will be way out of my range, but I have always lusted over this model. I am guessing it will have a 15% premium on the DSSD. Gorgeous sporty watch.

That's not even remotely true or close to being accurate. There is a reason that there isn't a red ceramic bezel yet, it has nothing to do with releasing the bruise first prior to the Pepsi. That's just ridiculous; a marketing genius like Rolex wouldn't play that game.

You think serge? If they did release the coke or Pepsi first they would've made a killing. Plus they can clearly do the two colors now on the ceramic bezels.

But releasing this black and blue after the coke and Pepsi might hinder sales.

Actually come to think of it I'm sure there still would people that would lineup to buy it. So who knows.

I agree though that Rolex is the marketing genius.

It's not a matter of perfecting a two-colored ceramic bezel, its the colors that give manufactures trouble. Red, orange etc aren't as easy a process as black, blue, or green. Thats one of the reasons omega has yet to make an orange ceramic bezel for the POs.
