This piece. What makes it unique to the forum?

Well, the watch it is based on would normally have Arabic markers, it has never had a grey dial before, usually has green lume - this has blue, never had the old Air Force mascot on before, this has a sapphire casback - the regular has solid, and of course the lettering referring to the forum and the ltd number on the back.

Jimbob,

How would you say the Descent stacks up to the Avenger, in terms of build quality and accuracy? I would love to hear your opinion compared to Breitling.

Thanks!

That's really cool. It's the little tweaks that make it special.

Well, they're both cosc certified so both are very accurate, if I'm splitting hairs though the descent has kept closer time with my emergency (I use that as a benchmark for all my autos) than any other piece I own.
Build quality is pretty subjective I think, undoubtedly they are both made very well, I think I'm now leaning more towards bremonts understatedness, hence why my avenger has just been sold to make way for the special edition this thread is about.

Very cool indeed Jimbob.

I must say it's always great to have a hand in creating something made in extremely limited numbers and then getting to own the piece at the end. (Hmmmmm, that sounds an awful lot like a forum watch project here............... that never got off the ground! :poke:  )

Looking forward to seeing your "real-world" pics later in the year.

Thanks driver, and yeah - it does sound a little familiar. Was a real shame that didn't come off.

Well, I don't have it in my hand just yet, but the prototype has been built and I have to say I'm really pleased with the photographs we have been sent.
Let me know what you think guys, number 13 of 30 should be on my wrist by the end of August.

That does look nice. If I were being picky the date wheel looks a bit darker than the dial so would be nice if they could address that in the production versions, but that's a good looking piece.

Wow I really like this one. It would be a great watch for something a little different.

If you don't mind me asking, which forum was this done for?

Jimbob,
Congratulations on your purchase, I know it's been a long wait for the watch but once you get it I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It looks much nicer from actual photos than the original graphic. I am a Breitling and Bremont fan and have had the opportunity to tour both of their HQ/Service Centres - different but both very interesting for watch fans

That's one nice piece. Those little, minor differences.
