I quite like it.... except for being PVD'd. I've seen their bronze models before and they are quite nice, but not enough for me to want one. The Seagull movement is fine, and especially in a watch costing less than $600.

@Sharkman - yes DLC is applied via a PVD process, but as you rightly said it's all to do with the material being applied. DLC is the toughest, but ultimately the process of application is bascially the same.

PVD vs. DLC always get's confusing, and as noted the process of applying DLC is a physical vapour deposition.

Until DLC came along PVD was used as a general term for these coatings and the actual materials vary considerably in their chemical composition - different brands, different colours, etc, and obviously different thinknesses will also wear differently. Most black non DLC coatings are a form of titanium aluminum nitride.

Thank you for mentioning this and describing it adequately-
it was a minority of one, but I would like to express my contempt.

Edited. I decided I didn't really want to know the answer to my question.

If a lumtec had a baby with a Panerai that's what they would spawn. I hate it, sorry.

As for Chinese people, I love them. Boogie is my boy, and they make some awesome food! Those comments are idiotic.

It's like a $500 watch. What do you have to lose. Or I'd be happy to sell you my Xezo! ;)

The watch itself looks quite cool IMO.
The ST19 movement can be an excellent performer when regulated well.
I have it in four of my watches, two of them are actually Sea Gull watches, all performing very well.
Based on my experience I have no hesitation getting a watch with the ST19 Sea Gull movement.
