I'm generally not a huge fan of gold watches so my opinion may not be worth too much but if I were looking for a gold dress watch I'd go with something from the Breguet Marine line, white dial, gold case, brown croco strap. I'm not sure about prices though but I'm guessing a used one wouldn't be too bad.

Great watch but not having a date on an auto doesn't make any sense to me. It's not like they're trying to keep the dial simple.

Oh, no doubt but the date thing bugs me. I don't have a problem with no date on a manual wind though, like the Speedy. I'm not saying I wouldn't take one but it's not at the top of my $10k+ watch list.

So Mrcheatle, What you thinking? or have thoughts moved to the FF  .

A Gold B-01 would, I guess, do nicely but would be way over budget, even a gold Evo discounted would fall way over budget.

Last time I was at my Ad the Gold Evo on Croco was pushing 20K Euro.

Older 39mm Chronomat may be picked up well under budget but an older watch may not suit.

Either way a gold watch can be a truly classics look.

As you can guess Daytona top of my list!

I've been looking at this one, but just can't bring myself to spend that much on a watch:

Well Mr Cheatle,

Don't hold back. Go for solid gold. I'm sure we could provide you with a great deal on any of these that we currently have in stock:
