Certified watch nut.

Well, just for the records, I have done another test for accuracy. This time, over a 3 day period. The watch is just over 2 seconds slow, which means it loses less than a second per day. Two out of the three days, the watch has been it it's box. I did wind it once at almost the end of the second day. That was a little less than 48 hours that it had been "at rest". I took it out this morning, and have been wearing it for about 12 hours.
Usually, I am not very concerned with accuracy. As a rule, if I get 5 or 6 seconds plus or minus per day, I am happy. However, the fact that this is a relatively new movement, and all inhouse has made me curious.
Cartier's proclamation that the movement will maintain accuracy whether being worn on the wrist or not certainly is true. For that I am more than thankful, as that is one of the main reasons that I was so attracted to this watch, other than the stunning looks, fit and finish.
Also the fact that the movement is not COSC Certified proves to non-believers that COSC Certification is not necessarily the only way to go. All of my other watches have been COSC certified - Breitlings, Omegas and Rolexes mainly - and the only one that has maintained this accuracy was the Milgauss. My Explorer I is always about 3 seconds fast per day, which is also excellent, and my Air-King does a bit better, although it's only a couple of months old and I haven't really paid it due attention since getting the Calibre de Cartier.
This is the third time I have done an accuracy test, and so far the best of the lot. The first one was a bit better than the second, though. I will keep monitoring it, and see how it does over time.
I had to adjust the bracelet today, as it was too loose. I originally had the two half-links removed. Now I put back one of the half-links, and took out a full links, so it's just about perfect. It feels a bit tight at times, because it was so loose before, but I can still get my small finger between the clasp and my wrist, so it has plenty of give.
Hope that these observations will be of some interest. I have done quite a bit of searching the various forums, but don't seem to have much luck finding any information from Calibre owners. Thanks for reading.
