All the rest look great IMO, especially the Speedie.

I like the Speedie, too. I don't know how purists view it, but I like the clock-face totalizer; it seems like it would make for much easier reading. I wonder about the price, though. A member on The Rolex Forums claimed the price for the new SS Speedie on strap is $8300. I would presume that would make the price on bracelet even more. I don't like it that much.

What's new?? Everything is going up in price like crazy.

So far I've read that the purists don't like the new layout. They prefer the classic style.

the revised Speedies are meh... but then again I love the vintage Speedies so that's coming from a purist point....

Oh I alternate almost daily between loving the new Speedie layout, and then being not quite so sure. From a "purist"/traditionalist point of view I would've ideally liked to see a tri-compax layout in-house, but I can also understand how Omega wanted to differentiate the new Speedie from what's gone before. I think Omega were limited by what else they could do to make the new in-house Speedie standout, given that they've re-done the Speedie millions of times over the years, with just subtle changes here and there. Plus their in-house chrono is a bi-register design of course!

Personally I think the new Speedie can sit quite happily next to the classic manual wind Moon Watch as the next iteration of a classic design.

That's what I really like about the new Speedy. They're keeping the classic moon watch, which I will own someday, and adding this one as a new variation of the Speedy, not a replacement.

This is the way to do it. I suppose purists can always find something to carp about, but ultimately, if what they want is still available, then what's the harm in introducing something new? If Breitling did things this way, I think a lot more of us wouldn't be feeling so disenchanted with the brand.

That's an excellent point mod... they have revised the speedy to death but it's still well and alive... at least the hands look almost the same...
