there are watches and then there are timepieces, this is a true timepiece!!! everything about this watch say's perfection!! they showed a watch being made at blancpain on " how's it made" it was amazing, how one person from start to finish builds each timepiece. congrats and enjoy for many years. steve

MUCH better pics. I imagine I'd love it even more in person.

Beautiful piece.

Yes it is a second 12 hour dial, currently set to my daughter's time.

That's really sweet. :D

Came back for more looks at this watch. The only thing I don't 100% love about it is that you can see through the hands which looks a little weird when it's above the day/night subdial. It really is a beauty, though, Sharkman. Dibs for when you're selling it!

(What? I don't need a place to live. I'll just sell the house and move in with my mother.)

Yeah, but it needs the hands to be open lest they fequently obscure the second time zone dial.

I keep coming back to this thread... The case, the way the numerals are raised from the surface of the dial, the... I can't even afford this watch in SS. Such a beautiful piece... Someday my BP dreams will come true.

Sometimes ya just get really friggin' lucky! Someone wears a watch like this for a week, turns it in, the AD chooses to put it in pre-owned rather than what many do - back in the new display, it sits for a year and a half at a few grand off list, no one bites, you notice it but scoff at the price, then you stumble into the store almost a year later for only the third time and it is one day after it's been seriously double reduced, and you are shocked when the price is announced - in a good way.

Or was that a dream I had? Because in that dream I went in to look at an IWC Portofino Chrono.

Very very nice Sharky. I'm sure you'll keep it a bit longer than some other pieces.

I used to have a Swatch Irony with the same type of open hands when I was younger.
