Hi,

Very nice, I like the video but also seeing detailed photos adds to the review.

Nice to see that my B&R money has been well spent.

Ian

By the way, do you find the videos or the pictures more desirable in my reviews? I think the video offers a more natural look into these watches, but if people prefer pictures I can focus on taking those instead in the future.

Can I be greedy and say that both the video and the pictures give a great overall impression of the watch? :D Obviously you get the detail from the pictures, but the video gives a "real-life" view that pictures can't capture in the same way.

(I do like that BB BTW!)

I was really expecting to hate this watch, but I gotta say, that's the nicest Hublot I've ever seen. It seems to be going away from the ROO a bit and the in-house is a great move, especially considering the costs. Love the bezel too. Quick question, do the screws in the lugs hold the strap on does it just use the standard springbar?

Altair-

I really like the addition of the video so we can see the presentation when opening the box, but nothing matches the close up photos that you also provide. I agree with D8...I would like to see both going forward!!

Both video and pics then, glad they add value to the posts. Though that might be a moot point as I dont plan on getting more watches anytime soon, I just calculated how much I spent this year and went

It's not for me, but I am glad to see that Hublot now has an in house movement. Is the writing directly on the crystal??

Congrats on the pick up Altair...it just adds more variety to your already impressive collection.

Thanks, yes the Hublot name and logo is engraved on the crystal itself.

Oh and just one more point I forgot to mention in my review, the presentation is fantastic!!! I love it when a company goes the extra mile like that, and the box is very well made, solid, and nicely polished and accented! Unfortunately my wife has confiscated it as she has decided it is too beautiful to stash away.

Thank Ian, yes that B&R money plus a little extra went into this watch, hope you are enjoying it as much as I am enjoying mine!

OK, a very cool little update!

JC Biver, the CEO of Hublot, saw my pics at another forum and contacted me publicly via the forum and then via email, and we had a discussion of what turned me finally to Hublot, the direction of the watch industry, and general watch talk! He finally send me the following message:

"Please send me the case number and your address and I will send you my handwritten and extended guarantee till end of 2015"

Apparently he does this all the time! How cool is that??!!!

That is indeed very cool. Although I'm not a Hublot fan, I am definitely a customer service fan, and JC Biver's actions are very impressive from that aspect. Your new watch is the nicest looking Hublot I've seen, but I'm not sure I'm ready to wear one. A 40% discount would certainly help, though. I also said the same thing about Panerai and am now lusting after a PAM 320, so I may come around at some point on Hublot. Enjoy the piece.

Thank you for sharing! This is really stunning; the innovative materials in the case and strap are really unusual, and the skeleton factor pushes it a little bit more.

Enjoy, and wear with comfort knowing you have that extended guarantee to fall back on! :D

I had to watch it again! Awesome watch but did I miss something? Why is there a USB cable in the box?

Yeah Biver is well known for that - the man can definitely build a brand image. Good for you Altair!

Although I am not a giant fan of a lot of Hublots models, this one is fantastic. I love it and really for the price you got it for, it would seem that you got a lot of watch. Very, very nice. I think you've exceeded your watch quota this year!!

The USB cable is connected to the Hublot shaped card reader. Plug it in, then insert the credit card looking access card.

Ive gotta say, I really like the watch. Retail would be overpriced, but for what you payed, I think its on-par with what should be expected. I think if Hublot were to lower their prices, they could shape up to be a major player. Then again, maybe the super high prices are what attract people to them in the first place?
