I feel it comes down to wrist size but my personal preference is towards larger watches and I wish there were more watches in the 45-49 range. It would be great if manufacturers made a "small" and a "large" version of watches.

I have 3 comments.
Firstly weren't wrist watches just pocket watches, some one soldered some lugs to, for a wrist strap, in the first world war trenches? Hence they were big to start with. I understand the 1920 small is good look.
Second I have a 8 and half wrist and so I can wear a biggy. I just got a Revue Thommen 55mm (similar to IWC Pilot).
And thirdly, I have had a 2tone Rolex datejust for 40 years. As I get older, I just cannot see gold hands out of a gold face.

Great link by the way.

What is the biggest watch ever made?

They do, bell and ross br01 and br03 are essentially the same but the size, breitling avenger and superavenger are almost the same but for the size too
