I had a Swiss Army watch stolen from my hotel room at the beach when i was in college. Not very expensive ($400) but a nice watch for a poor college student.

I had a few PMs on the subject so...

My watch was insured as a specified item as part of a travel insurance policy.

I had to jump through several dozens loops via the lossa adjustor but they eventually coughed up the cash.
