As much as i love Breitling, Rolex has overtaken them in the last year or so, and JLC is very close behind rolex for me.

Breitling still remains my favourite luxury watch brand and I'd be surprised if that ever changed. I love my navitimer, it's my first luxury watch and also has some very happy personal memories attached to it. As I've stated before it was originally a close call between Breitling and Omega when I made the step but, from the start, Breitling was ahead and I'm glad I stuck to my guns. Just superbly made watches, well balanced, great history, great connection with aviation and great variety.

Closely second is JLC. I'm also more than happy to admit that JLC are probably more superior than Breitling in many ways but nevertheless JLC will not likely surpass Breitling as my favourite brand anytime soon. Great thread sharkman

I'd have to say that Breitling remains on top when factoring in size, quality and bang for the buck, while Panerai is a close second followed by JLC and IWC respectively. AP is always a win-win as well.

I don't know that I can pick a favorite brand. There are a great deal of brands I like for various reasons, but I don't think I can peg one down as my favorite. As my B01 is really the first high end timepiece I've owned, I don't have a lot of tangible knowledge to draw from. However, in the past year I've done an innate amount of research on all sorts of brands, so I feel like I have a solid perception of quite a few. Breitling was the brand that brought me to high end timepieces, but the more I learn about other brands, the less impressive Breitling becomes to me. The brands that have captured the most attention from me are JLC, Zenith, IWC, Panerai, and Ulysse Nardin.

I'd love to see Altair respond to this question, as it seems he's owned nearly every watch on the face of the earth.

The only thing that is less than impressive to me are the ETA movements, but realistically, unless you want to spend twice the price for an in-house its pretty much what youre gonna get. At least they are among the best ETAs you can buy. Other than that, style, design, quality, fit & finish, and capability are as good as youll find from any watch.

I don't have a favorite brand. I love my Blackbird, but I'm not really itching to get another Breitling. The Planet Ocean from Omega is amazing, but there's not much else I really love from them. Even with IWC and Panerai, I love the Portuguese Handwound and the 111, but don't think I would dole out the cash for too many of their other models. I guess what I'm saying is that I have a lot of favorite watches, but not a favorite brand.

So it's Breitling for me - because they look amazing (with the exception of the digital ones) and work great.

Only thing I kinda wish for? Display backs - I'll get a nice timepiece with a transparent back one day, and if Breitling don't have one for me, I'll have to buy something else.

Not that having some variety would be a bad thing!

Cheers all.

I like Breitlings. I think rider tabs are some of the greatest things ever stuck on a watch. I'm not being sarcastic here; I really like the way they look, they have functional value, and never once have they messed up a sweater of mine.

Nor me either. It's what got me interested in the Aeromarine range in the first place and ultimately got me back to that range(except a couple Professional models). And yeah, I know they are in the windrider range too, but my heart lies in the Areomarine. Perhaps it's simply my unrefined taste.

I also like the Aeromarine watches because they're robust, and I can wear them anywhere. I wanted my first couple nice watches not to fall into the category of having to leave them at home all the time, because I was afraid of them getting damaged.

The functional aspect is to allow you to grip the bezel rather than having a grooved bezel edge.

But what I like about them isn't related to function - they just look so cool. 8)

Still Breitling for me. I had to think for a while then as I've started seriously looking at some Omega's again despite recently buying a Rolex :?

What makes it clear in my mind is the fact I always head straight for the Breitling display over any other brand
