As for my quick 2 cents.... The hell with peoples attitudes! If you truly enjoy what you buy and buy it for yourself alone than that is what matters. Other people who are miserable will always try to drag down your mood and bother you... Just ignore them and smile. I don't understand many other peoples hobbies, but I can respect them. Bottom line just them off. Bull**** can't hurt.

Tried something similar once -- my wife's answer was, " But, but, I thought you said YOU'll be happy as long as I'm happy, dear??", followed by "So why do YOU need to buy that to make you happy?"... then "Are YOU unhappy?? WHY are you unhappy??!"... and "DO I NOT MAKE YOU HAPPY ANYMORE??? DON'T YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE??!!!"... (at which point I was frantically trying to tell her I'm so amazingly perfectly happy cause I so love her so so so very very much and she should NOT be upset...), at which point she finshed off with "Well... ok then... in that case, maybe I buy this instead?... Then I'll be happier, and you'll be happier!! Right hon? RIGHT??!!!!..."

Ah... such is the life of a properly domesticated modern man...

Can't worry about haters. Fact is, the only time you should pay attention to such things are (perhaps) in client meetings, etc. IOW, anything that might prevent you from making a little more scratch to go and purchase more watches to flex off suckaz' domes.
