Thanks for the help everyone. Went to the AD last night to try and make up my mind and came away with this...(sorry for the crap phone pic).

After handling both back to back, the Cartier just didn't look as well put together as the DJ. Don't get me wrong, it was very nice but overall just seemed a bit clunky by comparison.

Sorry mate, but 'the beast' is a bit timid.

Well made watch 'n' all that...but lookin' at that is about as exciting as looking at a golf ball.

Still, you made the right choice given the other thing was hideous.

Not much of a selection 'round your way? Although, as you said, you’re new to this…

Rolex Datejust, without a doubt. That new 41mm size makes it a real contender by any standard.
