1) Glashutte Senator Meissen Unlimited Edition - with hand painted Dresden china dial, Red Gold
2) Omega Tonneau Renverse Limited Edition (1952) Museum Collection, square case, red and white gold

Either - or both - of these will make me very happy! :D

Cheers,
Carl

Remember....only a wish list  I have never seen the Glashutte in person, but the Omega was very much on display at the boutique yesterday. What a difference from the picture they have on the website! Maybe I should put it first on my list. A mere $16,000CAD compared to your blue $ 85,000 Ulysse Nardin! :nana:
Cheers,
Carl

Carl, I've looked at that Omega Tonneau Renverse too. Stunning in person, isn't it?

My wish list seems to change on a weekly basis, but I do come back to things and act on them sometimes (like my Zenith).

Current candidates are probably:

1. Something from IWC with an in-house movement (BP, 5001, BI, or perhaps Vintage Portuguese or Portofino).
2. Something from Ulysse Nardin (MMD, MMC or perhaps Executive Dual Time).
3. Something from the JLC Master Compressor Range.
4. Panerai 088 or 320/321 (unlikely though).
5. Another Omega - Railmaster XXL or DeVille X2 Big Date. I will also be keeping a close eye on any updates to the Planet Ocean, especially if they do a 45.5mm version of the Liquidmetal.

Number of watches I look at every week: Too many
Number of watches I'm likely to buy in 2010: 1 or 2
Number I should be buying: 0

I have purchased enough watches in 2009 that I am actually going to try to not buy anything in 2010......but, I can still have my wishlist!

1. IWC Big Ingenieur
2. Emergency black dial SQ with copilot
3. IWC Ingenieur mid-size with pink strap for the wife

As for my "someday even further in the future" list, I have to say that the Glashuette Senator Meissen is firmly planted at the top of that one. Carl, you have excellent taste. ;) The only thing that would compete with that is the Senator Chronometer in rose gold (mostly because it has a date), provided I could actually get ahold of one.

[quote="Otto"]Carl, I've looked at that Omega Tonneau Renverse too. Stunning in person, isn't it? quote]

Hey Otto,

Yes, it certainly is. I hardly gave it a second look, when I saw the pics on the Omega website.
The shape of the case is really stunning, and that curved sapphire crystal on the front. I tried it on, and it is very comfortable. The bottom of the case is actually curved a bit as well. First time I tried on a watch with a squarish shape, and was so impressed. The dial is stunning and simple as well, with the small second hand just on it's own, and no markers on it at all.
For a watch like that, I was surprised at the price: $16,000CAD. For a fairly limited edition of 1952. That is a lot of gold! Having said that, for me to come up with that kind of money would be a miracle. The watch is pretty heavy. Not to mention the beautiful alligator strap, it is quite thin but made that way to keep the watch authentic. I guess the movement, is the adaption of the 2500 Coaxial movement, with the small seconds. I would actually prefer the previous movement, the non-coaxial, but I don't know if there was a small second adaption of that.
But for the unique design alone, it is really a gorgeous piece.

Cheers,
Carl
