The IWC Big Pilot has always been my "grail" -- and when I finally was able to get one...it still is. It does it all for me. :)

Shark...how many watches on this Grail thread have you actually purchased?? :poke:

By my count:
Breguet XXI
Zenith Chronomaster
IWC 7 Day
IWC Yacht Club
JLC MCC2
Pam
Rolex SDDS
Rolex GMT IIc

You purchased almost every suggestion!!! Haha. What's the next Grail for you?? It's been awhile since the last big buy. FF? AP ROO?

I'll be perfectly content with my new Navitimer. Not the B01, just a plain vanilla Navi. :lingsrock:

Nice resurrection of this thread, Sergio.

Unfortunately in doing so you've reminded me that I still want a Portuguese 7-day. Oh, and while I'm posting, might as well add a Red Sub.

Did you get the regular or SEALS MCC? Both are beautiful, if you wouldn't mind posting some action shots of whichever you purchased... I have yet to see a version of the MCC that I didn't find beautiful; it's definitely on my (real, not wishful thinking) long-term grails list.

I got the MCC and I love it; I believe Shark got the MCC2 which is beautiful as well.

Otto- what's a Red Sub? The 7 day is beautiful...one day I may add that watch..I came close recently but went another direction.

Tom- I'm surprised you didn't go Navi B01...does Mari not like the B01??

Love that MCC, heck that's still on my list too.

A Red Sub is a vintage 1680 Rolex Sub with the word "Submariner" in red. Generally this means one made between 1967 and 1974, although apparently they still produced a few for a while after 1974. Plenty of nice examples in this thread:

I passed on a red sub that a good friend of mine owns. I know it is a rare one, but I just couldn't justify the price! Maybe I'm too cheap!

Very nice...beautiful classic watch. I love how Rolex has stayed true to the Sub's design throughout the years and they've maintained just about all of its characteristics.

Marie knows the B01 Navis will fly off the shelfs. It is up to people like me who only have Breitling's viability in interest to purchase the remaining fine regualr Navis. Glad to be of service! :lingsrock:

If I had $10-12,000 burning a whole in my pocket, I'm quite fond of the Bvulgari Assiomoa chronograph (48mm)
