This one kind of slipped past me among the Basel announcements, but holy cow is this a good looking piece. Being gold, and carrying the name it does I'm probably better off not knowing the price, but damn this is nice.

Very nice indeed. But I bet you could buy 2 or three RJ´s for one of those...

Well yes, but after today I'm figuring the RJ will only cost me pocket change by the time we are done

I love the look of this, but I don't think I would ever buy a gold sports watch, it goes against the rugged practicality.

But still, it's damn nice (did I mention that?)

Like the watch but don't like rubber gold combo, steel would be more practical and better looking with the rubber.

Its a nice looking watch, but I agree with bnewbie, steel would have been a better combination with the gold.

Although I'm not usually partial to gold I have to agree that is a really nice looking watch Roff.

Do we know how much it costs

Yeah, the Type XXI is similar. $5K is about right for those used - but that's the steel case, the gold ones are rather more

Love the XXI, especially the brown dial on brown croco!!! Gorgeous watch, but at 42MM its a bit small for a sport watch.

I would love for a steel version of this Alarm watch to come out sometime soon. That would be on top of my list.

I think there must be one - the person who is getting pricing for me asked what metal I was interested in. Although this is the one that was announced I assume that means that there will be a steel option.

I found this:

Richtige Bilder der rotgoldenen (Ref. 5847BR325ZU) 300-Meter-Uhr mit Wecker gibt's hier. Der Preis bewegt sich um CHF 45'000.-, die weissgoldene (Ref. 5847BB325ZU) ist um CHF 46'000.- angesiedelt

Which means it will be a white and a red gold. Doesnt mention any version in steel...
