For those of you who read my other thread this will come as no surprise. May I present...

Yes it's an Omega PO, one of the most recognizable watches on the planet I'm sure and apparently the highest selling Omega seamaster model of all time. I've always wanted an Omega and while I initially went for the Speedmaster Day-Date, I felt that I was cheating myself by not going for the Professional. Then Basel came out with the new Speedy model, which looks absolutely awesome by the way for me, and as I was secretly yearning for the PO, there you are. First impressions are I LOVE IT and after wearing it for nearly a week now, I LOVE IT! It's the perfect size for me at 42mm, has a black dial which is really more like a dark grey and nicely colour-contrasting battons. At a lazy 600m water resistance, the helium valve will no doubt come in very handy  The bracelet is solidly and well constructed albeit not quite to the quality of the Breitling IMO and I do like the double release clasp to prevent accidental unlocking. Plus it has the co-axial movement and it's a bond watch, how can you go wrong there

I've also taken some more snaps of my 1903 on well-worn brown leather which I think really brings out the ivory-coloured dial.

And together:

All in all I'm very happy with the quality of the piece. It's a great edition to my collection and most importantly, apart from adding variety, it also means there's funds left in the watch account to get my next whale, which will most likely be something from JLC, although I haven't ruled out GO or AP yet amongst others.

So there you go, another happy Breitlingsource member delighted to share a new piece; this never gets old

Very nice Tim - the PO is a great all around piece. I always look for the 42mm PO with the red/orange arabics when I'm at the Omega AD, perfect size for me also. Now I'm thinking about the new speedmaster  .

Great pair you have with the 1903 having a more sophisticated look. I know your showing that pic just to drive me crazy   .

Enjoy!

Congrats!!

I picked up the PO Big Size a few months ago and am awaiting the vintage rice bracelet any day now - a classic watch meant for the ages! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

Congratulations Tim, and that's a very nice 1 - 2 punch there with the 1903 as well.

Grats on the PO....I love the looks of the Omega POs as well. A 42mm case is a great middle of the road (not too big/not too small) size too. Wear it well and in good health.

Thanks very much everyone, I'm really very excited about the piece. And as many of you have indicated, it definitely is the perfect size for me.

Thank Sasho, the 1903 really is a beautiful piece. I'm very happy to have it in the stable.

Thanks Roff. I think the two pieces complement each other really well.

Congrats Tim! Thats a hard watch to dislike! A real classic and the size is perfect on your wrist!!! The 44 would have been overkill!

Wear it in the best of health!

Hey Tim - here's a pic of what the bracelet looks like. I ordered mine a few weeks ago for the PO Big Size - but it looks like it's available for the 42mm as well - roughly $650. Looks like you just stole Bond's Omega from 1964!

Now that's a cool looking bracelet, I'll have to look into that! Nice find although not exactly inexpensive

Very beautiful Tim, congrats! Thinking of adding a PO myself and your post didn't change my mind - just the opposite! Wear it in health!
