Lots of talk about Panerais on this forum at the minute with the SIHH and Altair's announcements.

Let me add to it by intoducing my new Panerai 112.

The Zenith Defy Aero Classic I received as part of a deal on my 1964 Submariner was a very impressive watch. Highly detailed, impecable finish and that El Primero movement. However, it wasn't really my choice to own it and I managed a great deal with my local Panerai AD for a trade on this 112.

I was hoping to add another Panerai to my collection after letting my 312 go last year. I usually go for busy or over-designed timepieces as they reward the wearer by constantly delighting with different aspect and aesthetics in different lighting conditions, etc. Plus they are more utilitarian. The 112 is a simple two hand design. However, the sandwich dial, iconic crown guard, brilliantly detailed rubber strap, class leading lume and cushion shaped case give this watch very interesting aesthetics. And, it's already a classic.

Here a few pictures I've taken already. More to come in the future, I promise.

Simply beautiful.

VERY NICE!!! I have to say that I like this one A LOT more than the Zenith. The Zenith was cool but this is a beauty and I'm more of a fan of Panerais anyway. Congrats, enjoy it!!! Great group shot also! I want to see more shots of your JLC Lune Atmos!

I absolutely love that 112, one of my favorite PAMs and the only one I've ever gotten to try on. Congrats.

PAMs really aren't my thing but I do think this one fits quite nicely in your collection.

Those pictures are very good as always. The DB is amazing. Wear it in good health!

Of course, Display Back.

It through me because I tend to refer to them as exhibition backs.

Thanks Mr R.
