a Rolex. Just purchased it today. It is the reincarnation of the old ref 5512 from the 60's into the 70's but with all kinds of new improvements. This is the ref 14060M COSC, non-date. For those who remember the 5512 was also non-date but was COSC while the ref 5513 was not. I have a question concerning the laser etching in the crystal near the 6. Rolex still doing that? Seems superfluous with all the other etchings and numbers they put on the inside flat side of the case down near the 6. When I saw this model I said this is the one I have to have along with my Oysterquartz bought new in San Juan, PR around 2005 from an AD.
I have not become a Rolex nut, I was, but sanity returned and I have only the two. I have my four Breitlings, four Omegas, two Piagets, when I want "bling". I have an assortment of other watches including a Seiko Spring Drive. Very, interesting watch. I have my quartz, an Accutron chrono, the Rolex Oysterquartz, Breitling Colt II, and my Tutima Pacific chrono quartz. For fans of the Lemania 5100 movement, I have the four current Tutima models all equipped with the marvelous Lemania 5100. Tutima is the only watch maker having access to this movement. They have and have had the sole supply rights to both German Air Force and NATO pilots since 1985.
OK I went a little longer than I wanted but maybe someone found something of interest.
