The Breitling Watch Source Forums

Hey All,

So I know that not all Swiss brands are created equal, but I was curious to see if anyone out there owned a Gevril or GV2 (made by Gevril) watch. I love Breitling and there is no compromise when it comes to their quality, but as I think about owning multiple watches, the lower price on a swiss-made, mechanical watch like Gevril is appealing. So, in any case, I was hoping that one or a few of you owned one and could give me some of your thoughts. Aloha,

I did own a Gevril Tribeca for some time, then sold it.
The quality was good for the price I paid. My loss was ~50% after 2 years and some scratches, not bad.
But you sould now this. The watch has/had a list price of $3,995, I got it NIB for $850.
This should tell you something about the brand. Its a fashion brand. Very high list price, which they most likely never get.
If you like a nice, cheaper swiss watch you might give Zeno a try. I had two and was very happy with them.
They are a small company in Basel/CH. I used to work next door in 2000/01.
