Conventional wisdom will say that the Breitling is a 'better' watch than the Tag, but ultimately, you should buy the one that you are happoer with when they are on your wrist - that's where it's going to live.

That was a very restrained response from you there Roff! I'd have expected some "Hurlers" kind of comment............. and thoroughly justified it would've been too! :wink:

Having owned 2 Tags I can safely say I will NEVER own one again. The auto Aquagraph gained horrendously and was far from a "timeless classic" in terms of design, and the quartz Aquaracer I had as a knockaround watch was a little flimsy and certainly built no better than a Seiko. Oh and I think they suffer a bit image-wise - a bit Chavy if I'm being honest! But in the spirit of inclusiveness I'll say "each to his own"................. but really you should obviously buy the Breitling! :wink: :D

Well if he buys the Tag I'll call it a Hurler, but I don't want to cloud his judgment ahead of the purchase - it's his watch after all.

Of course the Chronomat is the right answer :lol:

that tag is one of the ugliest of their latest designs. car and watch manufacturers linking up tends to be a hit and miss affair;

hits

bentley / breitling
panerai / ferrari
girard perraguax / ferrari
cvstos / zonda

misses

iwc / porsche
iwc / amg
tag / slr

don't get me started on the iwc/prada watches :huh

No competition.

Every man and his dog has a Tag.

The class is on the Breitling.
