Really, so I can get a used EVO for about $1800?

I don't think you'd find a used Evo for around $1800, from what I've seen, they're running around $2700 and up on the TZ sales corner. $2600 doesn't seem like a bad deal. If I'm buying an Evo with a diamond bezel, you should go with the same combination that Ron has, the slate dial. That would also look best with the black croc strap.

The watch will probably be your daily wearer for some time,

Yeah, for about 2 weeks until he gets another one, if he's anything like the rest of us here

Welcome, Sprout.

For God's sake, stay away from diamonds! They're the devil's spawn.
(No, I'm not a preacher!) But once you start buying those sparkly things there'll
be no stopping you. You'll be decorating yourself like some
silly rapster or strutting pimp. Besides, wasn't it Truman Capote who
said "Real Men don't wear diamonds"? Maybe it was Norman Mailer --
I get those two confused.

Anyway, think about something like a Blackbird or Navitimer World -- minus the ice.
Can't think of a better way for a boy to reward himself. :)

Steve
