 Post subject: Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

I quite like the Oris Aquis Depth Gauge. http://www.oris.ch/en/watches/oris-aqui ... 5-4154-set
But I wonder how reliable the depth measurement is working. Is it not possible for the air to escape the channel while going below the surface and thus to indicate the wrong depth?

I liked the idea of it when it first came out the other year, but I think you're right that it's probably more of a gimmick than a truly accurate depth gauge. I also wonder if the channel gets mucky, mouldy and discoloured over time as I bet it's incredibly unlikely to ever dry out fully......
