Here's a screen capture of a scene from Red 2, at about 19' 16". Can you identify the wristwatch that's peeking out from the character's sleeve? My teenage son is a big fan of this movie and is a budding lover of wristwatches. I'm not much of a lover of either wristwatches or the movie, but I am of my son and I make a special effort to communicate with him. I would greatly appreciate your knowledge and assistance.

Don't immediately recognize it as one of the well known brands. It's a chronograph and looks like silver rings around the subdials, but not the greatest photo to identify.

I thought Tag, but not sure that bracelet is correct (though not the greatest photo)? Wouldn't surprise me - they have been doing a lot of product placement recently.

I was partially right. It is a Tag Carrera but it's Caliber 1887 not caliber 16 like I originally thought. Here's a pic.

Thanks very much. My son will appreciate the ID. He can't yet afford a $5K watch :). Is it a 'good' watch? Do you like it? My very brief scan of search results seems to show positive judgments about it and its manufacturer. Thanks again for your replies.

Below is a cropped capture of an image a few seconds later in the movie which shows the watch on its side, with its bracelet somewhat identifiable.

I have always been a fan of Tag Heuer. The company has been around for the better part of the century, and make great solid reliable timepieces. My favorite are the Monaco range.

Thank you all for your comments. My son was pleasantly surprised I had all this information concerning a topic he's interested in.
