Currently all my watches are 3 hand dive watches. I really like the look/idea of chronographs. I found I used the chrono features very little on the one chronograph I have owned, still I like them a lot.

I've loved the Blackbird with big data and faceted bracelet since I first laid eyes on it. Exact same reaction for the Code Yellow even they are both very different. The Omega speedy moon watch seems like a do it all watch and would wear the smallest of them all...which would also be a nice change over my PO, Steelfish and steel Seawolf. I'd be going used on any of these since BB (version I like) and CY are no longer made and if I go speedy it will hopefully be a 68/69 transitional 861 version. Money is not a huge difference on any of them so forgetting cost/value/resale what are your thoughts on these three chronographs? I really like all three of them and suspect I'll eventually own all three of them though probably not all at the same time. Seems like the BB and Speedy might be a bit redundant long term.

My vote would be for the Blackbird first and Speedy a close second. Love both of those!

Speedy. none of the others even remotely justify replacing an 810

In three sub-dials configuration, I’d go for the Blackbird as it feels more special and less conventional than the Speedmaster, which is what I like in a chrono. I'd be a different story with a classic dress watch. I personally love the Blackbird Black Eye with 3-6-9 black sub-dials on blue main dial.

In a two sub-dials version, I’d chose a Superocean Heritage Chrono 44 over the Speedy with 2 sub-dials, because again the Ling feels less conservative and more eye catching, even when it carries the so-called "Heritage” touch.

Interesting since the BB of course has a big date while the Speedy has none. If you are going for variety and significance of the piece, it's the Speedy. If the emphasis is a legible chrono, I'm still a complete sucker for the functional layout of the BB, with large center date and lumed subdial hands.

Looks wise my vote for BB followed by code yellow. Speedy last choice for me. I like timeless looking watches but yet with a modern touch without losing it's "classic look". The 2 LINGS fulfill that criteria IMO. Since you love chronograph watches, you got to own at least a Ling IMO as you can't get more original than a brand who invented the start/stop and reset pushers, the iconic chronograph look that we see in all chronograph watches today.

Thanks for the thought and input so far. Not one first vote for the Code Yellow, I am surprised as it is my front runner by just a tad over the speedy. Just because there So many iterations and wild swings in condition and price for the speedys. Make me always hold off on pulling the trigger keep thinking a nicer one is just around the corner...and it is, but then reality sets in for a 40+ year old watch and the associated $$$. The bezels alone are maddening. I want a dot over 90 with tilde over the tach, but I want it to look as nice as the modern ones. Like the plain case back...but there is something cool about the modern ones with "First Only Watch..." I'm afraid if I buy one I will end up wanting one of every single variation. I really dig the silver bezel, but think if I can have only one it has to be the more standard version. I even like the "First Omega in Space" version without crown guard minus the word professional on the dial. So many choices - paralysis by analysis.
