Is it ok to use an ultrasonic cleaner on my watch or will this damage it in anyway? I wasn't going to submerge the watch I was thinking more along the lines of cleaning the bracelet. But worried about what damage the vibration could do to the movement.

Better remove the bracelet first.
It's ok to ultrasonic watch parts, but not a whole movement.

:yeahthat

DO NOT put an assembled watch movement in an ultrasonic cleaner it could get very expensive, very quickly.

Also, the cheap eBay ultrasonic cleaners are not true ultrasonics, they aren't vibrating fast enough. A good entry level ultrasonic will run you $150 or so.

Indeed it has, but the last one was a long time ago and hightower has not asked a lot of questions that have already been asked.

Feel free to contact admin if you think you could do a better job.

I just got a little scared.... Like getting yelled by my father as a little kid... better start behaving. It's amazing how much those smiley doohickes ease a conversation. :)

My ultrasonic cleaner has an arch which keeps the movement above the liquid. Still a no no? Also what solution do you use?

Why risk it? It takes two minutes or less to remove the strap.

Absolutely. Letting a watch get anywhere near an ultrasonic cleaner is an absolute no-no unless you are servicing it.

In terms of which solution, I use L&R cleaning and rinsing solutions for bench work.
