Great pics of a superb watch. I echo the comments above, it is just a super piece. The improvements made with the lug width, clasp and bezel are going in the right direction. As many have said before, if they could have only ONE watch, it would be the Sub C. Congrats and wear it in good health.

Do you guys that have Subs wear them on a frequent basis? It looks like a really nice daily wearer. :santa:

Lately, I've been wearing mine daily to work. It's a comfortable watch and fits nicely under the cuffs, aka "long sleeve collars". Lol.

I agree. It bugs the heck out of me, to the point that I bought another OEM crystal and had it Double AR coated. I just can't find a watch maker to do the swap.

It looks like a very nicely fitting watch...the only thing I wasn't sure of was if the bracelet tapering to 18 rather 20mm makes any difference in comfort? I'm starting to really want one now...

IMHO the way rolex tapers the bracelet on the subc and even the dssd doesn't look the best visually......
BUT the glide lock clasp is the best/most comfortable bracelet in existence! Period! Basiclly the reason to buy one IMO...lol

My first "real" watch was a Breitling Motors T, which has a 24mm bracelet that tapers very little. While it was my only watch, and while it was all I was used to wearing, I'd laugh at all the guys wearing a "girl's" bracelet watch, aka a Rolex. I thought it looked way too thin for a guy. It took me around 3 years of going through different phases of what I liked in a watch and getting over all the negative misconceptions of owning a "Rolex". Once I was ready to own a Rolex, I couldn't get used to the chincy hollow bracelets and cheap clasps on the older generations subs. The SubC, though, feels like a watch should. Solid and well built.. Like a Breitling. Now that I've owned it over a year,The bracelet no longer feels too thin. As a matter of fact, the clasp is pretty tall so it adds a feeling of substance and heft. It's almost as beautiful, looking at it from the side, as the watch it self, because it doesn't flow into the rest of the bracelet, like most other watches, it stands apart, just like the watch head.

I agree with Crod, and basically everyone else, that the glide lock clasp is amazing. All watches should have one.

What can I say about the subc that has not been said a thousand times before??? It really is an amazing piece and if I had to have just one it would be the subc.

Congrats to you on owning a modern day classic. I know it will bring you years of enjoyment

Sup Adrian!

Long time no talk... hope all is well and you're enjoying the holidays.

have to agree with all the views above - would be the last watch in my collection that I would sell and it gets the most time on the wrist.

I agree. It bugs the heck out of me, to the point that I bought another OEM crystal and had it Double AR coated. I just can't find a watch maker to do the swap.

look into this guy. everyone talks about him and he is a member at TRF (rolex forums).

http://www.timecareinc.com/

im probably gonna send all of my watches there. he has parts accounts with just about ALL of the main manufacturers.. aka certified.....

Thanks crod! I would have been done with the swap if I was comfortable sending my watch out. The guy who coated my crystal is highly regarded also but at that time my watch was brand new and I wasn't going to let it out of my sight. At this rate, though, it may be my only option.
