I have always admired Seiko as a Brand - cos it probably is the only true watch company - It makes everything it needs for the watch in-house - including the oils, lumes, movements, bracelets, straps, glass and what have you!

It is about to release a 100 pcs only Limited Edition Watch for Richard Garriott's Space walk (The 1st Commercial Space Walk by a Civilian - due sometime next year)

Made of Titanium - it measures 53 mm in diameter!

Available for sale December 2008 - Retails at $32,000 a pop - Any takers?

Yup - I think I could go through the Chronolog and do a lot of good with $32k.

:lingsrock:

Great piece of kit but I'd take a fair bit of convincing - even if I had the money.

That is very cool, but $32k sure is a lot of cash.

Maybe it will trickle down into some cheaper designs that I can look at and play with when I go to Japan in a few months. :D

Take a Speedmaster Professional. You can be sure, it survives the trip. Has been tested often enough by now...

And costs only about 2k...

I like Seikos but dang, that thing is over priced. Give me a Grand Seiko anyday!!

Or an Oris TT, those things are tough!

I'll pick one up and write a review on it for the forum...just kidding.

For $32k I can think of roughly 100 different watches off the top of my head I'd buy before this one.

Insane.

I think spring drives are pretty cool, but damn... that's pricey.
