These pieces sell for good money on eBay - there's a market for them, just understand what they are - recased pocket watch movements in a modern case. You are still getting a 140 year old PP movement in a more wearable form. I wish I could remember the name of the seller so that I could give you examples, but I've seen high end movements that he has recased sell for well over $10k.

I have him on my saved seller's list. He's got a PP Ratty co-signed with Tiffany cased up for 11k... actually quite beautiful!

Yeah there you go that's the one.

He actually does a pretty good job of them, and it's an affordable access point to what might otherwise be unobtainable combinations of brand / complication. I'm a little dubious on the resilience of the movements - I have a number of comparable aged and older pieces and wouldn't want to have them as regular wearers, but they are pretty nice.
