Hi everyone,

I bought this watch in Bahrain back in 2000 from a recognised dealer (I am not doubting it's authenticity). I don't want to sell it or anything (I like it too much and it's a great spare for when the B'ling Airwolf is away or not a sensible choice of wear). I'd just like to find out a bit more about the model out of interest. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The hour hand is clearly inspired by a Rolex Sub's hour hand. This we know.

The "Mercedes" hour hand goes back to the 30s or even the 20s. While Rolex may have been the first to use this particular style, many others has used it for a long time. It was in use while the Sub still had a sword hour hand. It derives from "cathedral hands" and is simply a useful shape for a lattice to hold the lume in place.

As for the Tag, not much I can add. There are Tag subforums on timezone and watchuseek. That might help.

Hey Guys,

Thanks very much for the info. Yes, it is a quartz and I have to admit (up until my SQ Airwolf) it is the most accurate watch I have ever owned.

Once again, thanks for the helpful info. I may try having a look on some other forums (thanks Sharky) to see if I can find out anything more.

Cheers K.
