Now that I think about it out of those two the one that I want the most is the Omega Speedy Pro, the new 40th anniversary of Apollo 15 LE one.

I don't think I have a single grail, either. The Sub-C comes as close as any, but since that's always my answer, I figure I'll say something different this time. Your mention of the Speedy reminded me of a watch I would love to have: the Speedy Pro Apollo-Soyuz LE. It's lacking a date, but it's an absolutely gorgeous watch, and each one is unique. I suppose if I were really to make it a grail, I'd upgrade the bracelet to the model that has screws instead of pins.

I love that model. I usually don't like a lot of LE's but I pretty much love all of the speedy LE's. Even the one with Snoopy on one of the sub-dials.

It's even better looking in person. For those who don't know, that dial is an actual piece of meteorite, which is why no two watches are exactly alike. It's also unusual for a Speedy Pro in that the hands are rhodium finished, rather than the standard white, and the indices are applied, rather than painted. That brings what some might see as a downside, which is the lume isn't as bright, since it's limited to dots on the edge of the indices. But whatever - I can put up with less lume for such a unique and attractive watch. Purists may not like it, but I sure do.

1,975 were made, or are being made. I don't know if they've all been produced yet. Even if all of them have been made, you should be able to find one if you call around. An AD near me has one in stock, so they have not all sold out.

My 'holy grail' changes probably weekly, but lately I've been itching for a PAM 365.

After getting the chance to see it and try it on in the London boutique it has to be the Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2.

The Tourbillon looks more like a heart then anything mechanical.
