It's nice to see that it finally arrived. That actually looks pretty good; I wasn't sure at the start when you mentioned it but having now seen it I think it suits the watch well. Glad you like it, congrats on the pick up.

Well, it's been a few days and the wife looked at me tonight during dinner and said, "You know, at first I wasn't crazy about it. But the more I look at it, and the more I notice other people looking at it, I have to say, it's really different and I think it's pretty cool. I'm glad you didn't listen to me."

Women..........any man who says he's figured them out is lyin' :)

That's a mesh bracelet, not a rice bracelet. The Beads of Rice bracelet is a specific design found on some vintage Omega models, such as this De Ville. (Note: the sale has ended, so I figured it was OK to link to it.) The modern mesh bracelet, while "old school" in appearance, isn't the same thing. Here's an in-depth essay on the history of some of Omega's bracelets. Discussion about the BoR bracelet starts on page 2.

Sorry - yes, it is a "mesh" bracelet.

I just wore it to a beach vacation for 5 days in the outer banks in the carolinas - not a single scratch on it after 5 days of rough-housing snorkeling, camp fires, wakeboarding, etc.....I absolutely love this watch and bracelet.

That's impressive. I'm so careful with mine. I don't been remember how it happened but I dinged it slightly on both sides on the polished sections when I first got it a couple of years ago.

It sound like a great vacation. I tried wake boarding for the first time last year and had a couple of good runs but mostly I wiped out pretty hard. I think a couple of times I was horizontal in the air with my feet slightly higher than my head. Things like that didn't hurt so bad when I was a teen. Lol

Looks brilliant IMHO.

Well done.

I do like the original bracelet for the POs as well but this reminds of the 70's Seamaster 300s and 200s.

I'd happily have that combo for a PO.

I really like it, I was considering picking up a PO on mesh myself, do you have any side shots that will give me the feel for the thickness of the bracelet?
